While Jennifer Lopez certainly loves her bling, she's not ready for that kind of ring just yet. On Friday, the diva took to her blog to clear up the latest engagement rumors that have been swirling about her and her 25-year-old beau, Casper Smart.
In a post entitled "The J-Low: The Truth About 'The Ring,'" Lopez wrote on June 8th: ""Rumors!!! Don't be fooled by the rocks that I got. No engagement!"
What led to her emphatic post? Lopez, 42, caused a tizzy when she was photographed on June 3 wearing a sparkler on her left hand's ring finger while at the Round Meadow Elementary School's annual carnival in Calabasas, Calif., with her two kids (Click here to see the photo in question!). Based on her latest statement, it seems she was just accessorizing her weekend outfit with a little glitz -- not announcing that she was ready to marry.
This isn't the first time Jenny from the Block has had to shoot down rumors that she was walking down the aisle with her backup dancer boyfriend of seven months. In March, fashion designer Roberto Cavalli appeared to be spilling the beans when he tweeted: "Today , Jennifer Lopez. Call me......She ask me. To create a special dress. For her next weding. ! Wich color...Do you advise me.?"
It turns out that the designer's account had been hacked and Lopez's rep assured her fans that she was not, in fact, getting married.
So, Lopez -- who split from Marc Anthony last July after seven years of marriage -- may not be getting married anytime soon, but Lopez seems to be over-the-moon with her boyfriend, who's 18 years her junior. "He's adorable. But you already see that," the American Idol judge told Vogue in April. "He really is (sweet). He's a good egg. I don't want to talk about it too much. It's my private thing."
