Jennifer Lopez made a truly triumphant comeback at the American Music Awards on Sunday night. Not only did she look and sound better than artists half her age, but she handled a stumble during her boxing-inspired performance like a total champ.
About three minutes into her flawless rendition of her new single, "Louboutins," J. Lo took a spill after jumping down from the beautifully sculpted shoulders of one her backup dancers. But if you blinked you might not have known it wasn't an intentional part of the choreography. After landing on her butt, she quickly got up onto her feet and continued the routine with amazing grace. Check out the clip:
UsMagazine.com caught up with Black Eyed Peas front man, will.i.am, backstage at the AMAs. He praised J.Lo for handling the gaffe so well. "That shows she's a true entertainer and devoted," he said. "She came out of it and still rocked it. It doesn't matter how you fall. Just how you get up. She got up."
Among those watching Lopez strut her stuff in the onstage boxing ring was her husband -- and father of her 21-month-old twins -- Marc Anthony.
J.Lo, who turned 40 in July, will release her sixth studio album, Love?, in March of next year.
