The American Music Awards aren't only going to be about the music this year. More than four months after their split, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony will both be performing at the Nokia Theater this Sunday for the 2011 AMAs. But don't expect things to get weird.
Lopez, 42, and Anthony, 43, haven't exactly shunned each other since their split. In fact, they reunited earlier this week in Puerto Rico to promote their show Q'Viva! The Chosen, and there didn't seem to be any hard feelings shared. The former couple, who were married for seven years, won't be performing together, either -- so don't expect a more awkward reprise of their American Idol performance from earlier this year.
Things might get a little tense, however, if Lopez ends up sharing the stage with her alleged backup dancer boyfriend, 24-year-old Casper Smart. Lopez has stated that it's not "a really serious relationship," but former hubby Anthony might not be too pleased to watch sparks fly on the big stage.
Their performances at the AMAs certainly won't be ones to miss. Lopez will be singing a three-song medley of her hits "Until It Beats No More," "Papi" and "On the Floor," and will duet with Will.i.am, who is debuting his new single. Anthony will be joining Pitbull and Lil Jon for Pitbill's song "Rain Over Me."
The AMAs air Sunday at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on ABC.
