Jenny McCarthy won't say whether she's dating Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher, but she will say that she's taking things slow.
"I haven't made too many comments other than the fact that I'm taking baby steps," McCarthy told Parade when asked about the rumored romance. "We'll see. But I'm giddy right now."
McCarthy, who ended a five-year relationship with Jim Carrey in 2010, also played coy about Urlacher at a recent press conference to promote her new NBC dating game show, Love in the Wild. The TV personality went so far as to admit that she's "interested in someone" -- but when Urlacher's name came up, she just laughed.
"I don't know what you guys are talking about," she joked. "Um, you know, we shall see."
In the two years since her big breakup, McCarthy, 39, has dated fitness model Jason Toohey and sports agent Paul Krepelka (whom she met on a blind date). Ironically, she says that she didn't begin to find romance until she learned to accept the single life.
"It took awhile. I felt like, 'Oh, I'm so alone I have to be with somebody,'" the former Singled Out host admitted. "But I got to a place where I was like... I'm happy with myself. I don't need to have a lover to have love in my life."
And as soon as that happened, her love life "kind of worked out." Sounds convenient!
McCarthy also mentioned that she has a "six-month rule" regarding the men she dates and her son Evan (who inspired her controversial autism charity).
"I don't introduce my son to anybody unless someone makes it six months," McCarthy revealed, saying that Evan had only met two boyfriends since Carey.
Urlacher, 33, is also a parent, with two daughters and a son from previous relationships. He's made the gossip columns before for dating another famous blonde: Paris Hilton.
