No, he wasn't glowing in the dark on the red carpet.
Jeremy Piven's mercury levels must be way down, as the actor, who was nominated for his role in Entourage, managed to make it to last night's Golden Gobes.
"I'm grateful to be here," Jeremy told Access Hollywood's Billy Bush on Sunday night.
Jer pulled out of his run in Broadway's Speed-the-Plow, after doctor's advised him to quit. Ari Gold's alter-ego was said to have fallen ill due to high levels of mercury in his blood, presumably caused by his over-indulgence in sushi.
"I was really humbled by that type of experience and if I were to try to break down to you what it was, it would sound to you like I'm being a Hollywood punk," Jeremy said. "It completely shuts you down," he explained. "It feels like the heaviest bout of mono you've ever had in your life. You're kind of crippled from it."
The actor said he tried to work through it, but his symptoms just "got worse and worse."
"I fought the good fight, my doctors propped me up and then doctor's orders was enforced rest," he said about leaving his Broadway stint. "That's what I've been doing for a month and here I am. I'm doing so much better. I really am."
Spicy tuna roll, anyone?
