Holy cannoli! It looks like Italy is not quite ready for the invasion of the Jersey Shore cast.
The cast of the MTV hit had their bags packed and were set to jet off to the European country to begin filming the show's fourth season, but everything has come to a screeching halt. According to RadarOnline.com, problems with filming permits are keeping Snooki and the gang on U.S. soil for a bit longer, as Florence Mayor Matteo Renzi is cracking down on where shooting can take place.
Producers of the show have secured a luxurious townhouse for the kids to live in, but permits for shooting at some of the city's most famous landmarks including the Uffizi gallery and Palazzo Vecchio have been revoked.
This isn't the first problem the Jersey Shore people have run into on their quest to take the "guidos" to new surroundings. They have already been banned from filming the cast drinking in public places -- which is 95% of what the kids do to begin with! And it seems that the crackdown on the locations caught the production team by surprise, as Mike "The Situation," Pauly D and Vinny had already been filmed with their suitcases, arriving at the airport when they were told that their trip was being postponed.
We're starting to think that maybe producers should just call the whole Italy trip off because it's pretty obvious that the cast is headed to a place where they're not wanted. But, hey, maybe that's the point of the whole season!
