Dancing with the Stars hasn't revealed its new cast yet, but reliable sources say that a certain Jersey Shore star is definitely in.
Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, the guy whose abs you're more likely to recognize than his face, is rumored to be the big draw for season 11 -- or, in the words of one insider, "the Kate Gosselin of the new season." Now that's a lot to live up to -- or would that be "down to"?
Other rumored cast members include The Hills' Audrina Partridge, singer-actress Brandy, former NFL stars Troy Aikman and Kurt Warner, and Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky (possibly alongside fiance Roberto Martinez). That's all well and good -- but here's a list of the cast members we'd really like to see!
Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi: While The Situation is a character, ex-cheerleader Snooki is the one who's got all the moves. Remember that episode where she was doing flips and flashing everyone in the club? She could rock the tacky costumes and hair like a second skin -- and the fact that she's about 4 ft. tall would make her performance that much more memorable.
Russell Brand: The notorious British comedian is an up-and-coming film star, but he's not quite a household name in middle America. That could change if he did DWTS. We'd love to see what hints at obscenity he could add to the squeaky-clean competition. And fiancee Katy Perry could cheer him on from the audience!
Jane Lynch: As the hilarious villain on Glee, it seems like Lynch never gets enough screen time. So how about a weekly dancing gig? Surely, if the 6-ft.-tall actress can vogue, then she can master the two step.
Lindsay Lohan: Here's her chance to prove that she actually has a work ethic! Slackers don't get very far in DWTS, and working her butt off learning the Viennese waltz would be a fine way for LiLo to get back in her audience's good graces.
Betty White: Enough said.
We'll all find out who made the cut on Monday, after ABC's Bachelor Pad. And if you're thinking that Jersey Shore's The Situation isn't much of a headliner, think again: Sorrentino will reportedly make up to $5 million dollars this year, between the MTV show, assorted media projects and endorsement deals. Seems impossible, but it's also a bit ironic -- the guy who made his reputation on the motto "GTL" (Gym Tan Laundry) has been working so hard to promote himself, we doubt he's had time to chillax in months. At least now he can definitely afford to have someone else do his laundry!
