How Jessica Chastain Found Out About Her Oscar Nomination

It's not exactly good manners to answer your cell phone while sitting in the front row of a fashion show, but even designer Giorgio Armani himself would forgive Jessica Chastain for picking up her mobile: She was being told about her Academy Award nomination for The Help!

The actress answered a call during Armani's Privé haute couture show in Paris, where she was seated next to Cameron Diaz, Roberta Armani and Oscar winner Colin Firth's wife, Livia Firth. The A-list crowd surrounding Chastain treated her to a standing ovation upon hearing the good news, People reports.

"Super congrats #JessicaChastain sitting next to me #Armani and just heard about her #Oscars nominations!" twittered Firth, who's no stranger to the Oscars.

Chastain, 30, had a breakout year in 2011. She not only played the only decent housewife in The Help, she was also in Terrence Malick's Best Picture-nominated The Tree of Life opposite Brad Pitt, the drama Take Shelter with Michael Shannon and The Debt, in which she played a younger version of Helen Mirren's character.

Given how she found about her Oscar nomination, Chastain should consider asking Armani to design a custom gown for her; it's sure to be good luck.
