What goes on during the Emmys broadcast is but a small piece of TV's biggest night. It's behind the scenes that some of the most interesting stories are made.
In the press room, best actress in a miniseries winner and beautiful-woman-of-a-certain-age Jessica Lange revealed she had no idea what the slang term "cougar" means. EW.com says that when she was asked what she thought of the word used to described a sexy, older woman who preys on young men, Lange said: "What does that mean? Why have I not heard that before? Where have I been?"
Looks like the actress could learn a thing or two from Madonna!
