Jessica Simpson: 'Melrose Place' Is 'Crap'

Has Ashlee Simpson-Wentz's departure from Melrose Place sent the show downhill? Well, we know at least one person thinks so.
In October, news broke that Ashlee Simpson-Wentz is being let go from the CW drama. But while Ashlee’s been toeing the party line, giving "thanks to the CW and the entire cast and crew of Melrose Place for allowing me this opportunity," Ash's sister, Jessica Simpson, took to her Twitter page Sunday night, to dog the show.
"CW catching up on MP," Jess twittered. "Who writes this crap? i have had bad scripts to work with, but this? thank God my sister is amazing and got you some press."
We commend Jessica for standing by her sis, but really? The show was no prize even when Ashlee was on – and we're not sure that her firing has made that much of an impact. But, sisters should stick together, so kudos to Jess.
