The rumors are true! Jessica Simpson gave her fans and followers a Christmas present when she confirmed on Dec. 25 that she's expecting her second child.
Amid all of the recent speculation about her probable baby bump, the singer-turned-fashion-maven turned to Twitter to announce the happy and completely expected news that she and fiance Eric Johnson will be parents again.
Simpson shared the pregnancy by posting a photo of her seven-month-old daughter Maxwell Drew, adorably dressed in holiday pajamas, sitting on the beach with the words "BIG SIS" written in the sand. The accompanying caption read "Merry Christmas from my family to yours!
Simpson, 32, and Johnson, 33, welcomed baby Maxwell on May 1, and they'll be adding to their family again come next summer.
News of the second pregnancy follows Simpson unveiling her 50-to-60-lb weight loss as a Weight Watchers spokeswoman. Simpson shed the pounds in time to star in commercials for Weight Watchers, but now that she's expecting again, it's unclear how her relationship with the weight-loss program will continue.
According to Us Weekly, the company is "furious" about the unexpected situation, but on the bright side, she'll get to show the world how to drop the postpartum pounds yet again next year.
Simpson's Christmas announcement also comes only 10 days after Simpson was photographed wearing a figure-hugging maid-of-honor dress in her best friend CaCee Cobb's wedding to actor Donald Faison.
Looks like 2013 will be a busy year for the Fashion Star mentor. Now the big question is -- will Jessica and Eric wed before or after baby number two?
