Jessica Simpson: I Feel Inspired About Dieting!

The new mom tweets about her refreshing outlook on dieting and losing weight

Jessica Simpson is feeling inspired, and she wants the world to know it.

The new mom and face of Weight Watchers took to Twitter yesterday to share some motivational thoughts with her 5.5 million followers. Simpson, 32, reportedly gained 70 pounds of baby weight during her pregnancy and has been working to take it back off ever since she gave birth on May 1.

"What we put in our bodies mirrors our Self-Worth! #INSPIRED" she tweeted on Aug. 8.

Smart words to live by, especially for a mom suffering through her post-pregnancy cravings. Simpson has been open about her love of junk food (and booze!) in the past -- but she made a smart choice when she chose water over scotch last Saturday night.

We're glad that Simpson is buckling down in her dieting, considering she's now a great role model for many other non-celebrity mothers out there going through the same situation. The Fashion Star mentor was even spotted hitting the gym in sweats just like the rest of us.

But Simpson isn't losing the weight because of the pressures of Hollywood and celebrity. And even though she's getting paid a hefty sum to represent Weight Watchers, the company isn't pressuring her to drop the pounds at a certain rate. As Simpson's earlier tweets show, she just wants to trim up so she can be healthier in the long run.

"Just so everyone knows...Weight Watchers hasn't put ANY pressure on me!" she tweeted back in June. "I'm trying to be as healthy as I can be for myself and I feel great!"

After Simpson joined Weight Watchers back in May, the weight loss company released a statement saying how happy they are to welcome her into their family.

"We're thrilled that Jessica Simpson has chosen to join Weight Watchers to adopt a healthier lifestyle and inspire others to do the same. Her talent, resilience and positive outlook already make her a great role model, and by deciding to trade in yo-yo dieting for a healthier lifestyle, we know she will inspire many women to join her," the Weight Watchers statement reads. "From the point when we started speaking with Jessica before she became pregnant, to now when she's had baby Maxwell, Jessica has made clear her commitment to establishing a healthier lifestyle for herself and her family."

So far, we haven't gotten any good looks at Simpson's post-baby body, but we're excitedly awaiting her big reveal!
