Jessica Simpson has a secret weapon in her battle against pregnancy bulge: pedometers! The Weight Watchers spokeswoman is literally taking her weight loss journey one step at a time with the help of the fitness gadget.
"Just bought all the girls in my @weightwatchers group pedometers to track their steps," Simpson posted on Twitter Thursday. "10,000 steps a day = 5 miles! Let's step it up!"
Since giving birth to baby Maxwell Drew in May, Simpson has been open about her plan to shed those pregnancy pounds -- particularly since she signed on to be a Weight Watchers spokeswoman. The new mother's generosity is proof that she's actually working on the program by belonging to a group.
Simpson, 32, might have a daily steps goal, but she told People in May that she doesn't necessarily have a scale goal.
"There's not a goal weight -- I just want to feel normal and fixate on inches," she told People. "I really want to set small goals, so I'm constantly reaching goals and not looking at something so far ahead."
As she focuses on losing her pregnancy pounds, a friend says the fashion maven is committed to her new fitness regimen. "She understands it's a process," a Simpson friend said, adding that the star is "working very hard and she's excited."
