Because just once isn’t enough, Jessica Simpson decided to make her pregnancy reveal through both Twitter and a Weight Watchers ad. Filmed at the same time as the commercial where she shows off her 50 pound weight loss, she proudly announces her second pregnancy in this new video. Watch here:
"I'm Jessica Simpson, and this year is all about new beginnings for me," she says. "I lost over 50 pounds on Weight Watchers, and did not have to be perfect to do it. Being healthy has become a part of who I am, which is great timing, because I'm having another baby. I feel like I'm on top of the world."
This news means that the 32-year-old won't be continuing on her Weight Watchers plan, despite becoming the spokesperson for the weight loss program in May. After she gives birth, Weight Watchers says she'll likely get back on the company's boat, but for now she's going to do what’s best for her baby.
"[Simpson] will not be following the program during the pregnancy while her weight and well-being are monitored by her obstetrician, as is recommended for any woman during pregnancy," a rep for Weight Watchers says in a statement. "After she gives birth, Jessica and her doctor will decide when she may resume following the Weight Watchers program."
After rumors of Simpson's pregnancy hit the web, it was said that Weight Watchers wasn't too happy with the pop star. However, it seems like the two have remained partners, as Simpson will continue to speak for the company going forward.
