Jessica Simpson has done a 360 degree turnaround with her weight, and she wants to share her success with the world. Of course, she's sort of obligated to share her success, since she's the spokesperson for Weight Watchers, but we're just glad to see her to happy.
It's exciting as fans to see Simpson proudly showing off her 50 pound weight loss in the new ad for the "Weight Watchers 360°" program. Wearing black boots, tight jeans and a black cami under a loose-fitting flannel top, Simpson looks gorgeous and healthy. Watch the promo here:
"I didn't need to be perfect to get here, to lose over 50 pounds on Weight Watchers," she says in the video. "I'm only human. I love food, I love life. I had no idea I could be so in control and so free at the same time."
Simpson gained most of the weight while she was pregnant with her first child, Maxwell Drew. She took eight months to drop the 50+ pounds, but we now wonder if she'll be able to keep it off if the rumors are true about baby number two being on the way. According to Us Weekly last month, Weight Watchers is "furious" about the situation. "She was already on thin ice with them since she didn't lose enough for the first ad, when they had to shoot from the waist up," the source adds, referencing Simpson's controversial first promo. (Watch it below!)
"She’s had the same challenges as all of the members," Simpson's Weight Watchers group leader Liz Josefsberg tells iVillage in a recent interview. "You could walk into Jessica Simpson’s meeting, or a general meeting, and the challenges are always [the same]: Developing healthy habits around food (a challenging experience if you have bad habits), overcoming dining out, feeding your family when you want to make sure you are eating healthy, traveling, late night eating, stress eating, emotional eating, social events. All the things that are challenging for any member are her challenges, too."
We say, more power to Jessica! If she is in fact pregnant, she knows that she's capable of dropping baby weight -- this new Weight Watchers commercial serves as proof.
