Jessica Simpson Shows Off 60-Pound Weight Loss

The new mom showed off her slimmed-down figure in jeans and a blazer at a recent event

Hot mama! Jessica Simpson has lost 60 pounds since giving birth to baby Maxwell Drew on May 1, and she doesn't need a skimpy bikini to show off how great she looks.

The new mom wore slim-fitting boot-cut jeans, a tailored blazer and a floral top to a Dillard's event in Tampa, Fla., on Saturday with her sister Ashlee Simpson. The sisters were on hand to promote the Jessica Simpson Collection fashion line.

Just two days earlier, the Weight Watchers spokeswoman offered a sneak peek at her recently wrapped commercial for the popular weight-loss program. Simpson has made headlines for her weight through much of her career, but she garnered extra attention after gaining a considerable amount of pregnancy weight while carrying baby Maxwell.

But Simpson, 32, didn't bow to the pressure of losing all of her baby weight just weeks after giving birth, like many other celebrity mamas. She took her time, shared her workout and walking regimen, and stuck to the Weight Watchers' point-counting system.

The singer and fashion maven has been honest about how hard it has been for her to shed the pounds.

"My body is not bouncing back like a supermodel," she said in September. "I'm just your everyday woman who is trying to feel good and be healthy for her daughter, her fiancé and herself."
