For Jessica Simpson and fiancé Eric Johnson, it's carriage before marriage! The pregnant mogul and her baby daddy are reportedly delaying their wedding until after the arrival of their recently confirmed bun in the oven.
"They're really excited," a source tells People of the pregnancy. "It wasn't something they planned per se, but it's also not something they were trying to avoid."
And now it makes sense why Simpson, 31, and Johnson, 32, were in the news for putting off their wedding. The two were postponing the nuptials to make room for baby. According to People's insider, the wedding was originally scheduled for this month.
"They're both still really committed to getting married, and were both really into making decisions about what kind of wedding they wanted," the source says. "It's just going to be at a later date now [because] they really want to enjoy this time in their lives."
And as for the rumors speculating that baby Johnson is a girl, another source insists the couple doesn't know if they should expect another NFL hopeful like Johnson or a little fashion diva like Simpson.
Regardless of the sex, one thing's clear: "They're both very family-oriented and having a baby is something they both wanted," People's source says. "It's wonderful!"
