When you think of late-night food, you think of countrified pop singers, right? No? Well, Denny's is hoping you will. They've commissioned Jewel (among others) to create a "signature dish" to help get the word out about their late-night menu.
Between the hours of 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. you'll be able to find Jewel's Acoustic Smoked Chicken Quesadilla on the Denny's "Allnighter Rockstar Menu," which also includes Rascal Flatts' Unstoppable Breakfast, Los Lonely Boys' Texican Burger, and Hoobastank's Hooburrito. A press release describes Jewel's culinary creation as a quesadilla filled with smoked chicken, a blend of cheeses, spicy red chili sauce and pico de gallo topped with sliced avocado, pico de gallo, sour cream and a lime wedge.

Jewel's Denny's stunt is only slightly less strange than another recent promotional endeavor the singer involved herself in. Last week, Jewel showed off her yodeling skills at a makeshift Times Square studio that Yahoo! put together for a talent search. Yahoo! held auditions for a yodeler for their trademark commercials, and Jewel, who apparently has been a critically acclaimed yodeler for years now, helped contestants get it right.
