Yes, it was a weekend of celebration for the funnyman, who finally got his bachelor's degree in communications from the College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY.
Jimmy got to walk with the other 1,800, dressed in a cap and gown, on Saturday at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center, where he was also the ceremony's keynote speaker.
"There's always going to be someone out there like that movie critic, who doesn't believe in you or who thinks your head is too big or you're not smart enough," the former SNL star told his fellow graduates. "But those are the people you need to ignore, and those are the times you need to just keep doing what you love doing."
Jimmy attended the school from 1992-1995, before dropping out to pursue his career. He was only one semester short so, after presenting college officials with a portfolio of his work on TV and film, he was deemed educated enough in the field to earn his degree.
Um, I went to SUNY Albany from '92-'96 and never once ran into Jimmy! Then again, I was drunk most of the time, so maybe I did.
