Even seasoned performers like Jennifer Lopez can have on-stage mishaps every now and then, but it's how they pick themselves up that measures their true professionalism. When asked about the little tumble that landed her on her butt at Sunday night's American Music Awards, the 40-year-old did what any veteran would do – she said she did it on purpose.
"Did I trip a little bit? I don't even remember," Jen joked to Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show Monday morning. "Yeah, I meant to do that. That was part of the choreography."
Seriously though, Jennifer knows that these things happen – and it's how you carry it off that shows how good really are. "The measure of things isn't what happens when you fall, it's how you recover when you fall," she said.
Even with her little slip-up, the former Fly Girl said she was just happy to be moving and grooving in front of the crowd. "It was fun, it was really fun," she said. "It was nice to be back on stage and doing my thing."
