On-the-Job Health Risks

I just found out that I am six weeks pregnant, which I am thrilled about. I am worried about work hazards to my baby. I work in the operating room, and I know there is some debate over the waste anesthetic gases in the O.R. and the harm it does to a fetus. I had a miscarriage in July, which adds to my fears. I can't help but wonder if I didn't work in the O.R., would I have miscarried?

Question:

My only comment comes from my anecdotal experiences of taking care of many women who have worked in operating rooms for one reason or another. They do NOT have an increased rate of miscarriage over other women. You just have to remember that the risks of miscarriage in general are scarily high, but most women will go on to have a perfectly healthy next pregnancy.
