Dr. Conrad Murray should be warned -- Michael Jackson's father is coming for him.
"I want justice for Michael," Joe Jackson told E! News. "They think they can sweep this under the rug, but I want justice."
The elder Jackson says that in addition to the criminal charges his son's former doctor is facing for the pop star's death, he plans to file a civil wrongful death lawsuit -- and will be doing it within the next 90 days. The complaint must be filed by June 25, which will be one year since the pop star passed.
Jackson's attorney Brian Oxman claims that Michael "had a heartbeat with resuscitation" when he arrived at the emergency room on the day of his death and that Murray could have done more to save the music man's life.
A spokeswoman for the doc said they have not heard anything about the wrongful death suit. "We have not received word yet regarding [Joe] Jackson's lawsuit, so we cannot comment on the details therein," rep Miranda Sevcik said.
Oxman says that others, besides Murray, could be under fire for Jackson's death, which resulted from an overdose of the powerful anesthetic propofol.
"At this time, notice has only been sent to Conrad Murray. If, in the future, documents show that other doctors or entities were involved, that could change."
