Most new parents are completely sleep-deprived and miserable, but not Joel Madden and Nicole Richie. These two, who welcomed baby Harlow in the world a mere four weeks ago, were out partying this past weekend. But, like typical new mommies and daddies, they pretty much spent their time off gushing about their new baby girl.
She's "definitely a mama's girl," the rocker told People.com, at Prive Las Vegas. "Right now she needs mom because all she does is eat. I have a feeling that when she starts talking she's going to be a daddy's girl."
So, was Joel happy to get the night off to be back on the club to scene? Not quite.
"It's really hard being away from her. I think after having Harlow we are already in love with being parents," he said. "It's cool to watch Harlow with Nicole because they already have a real special bond. It's cute. I have my own little bond with her too."
Oh, and that frisky Joel is loving Nicole's new voluptuous (yet skinny!) bod, that came with her new mommy status. "She's a wonderful mother and she looks really hot already," he said. "The girl is gifted, man. Women hate her because she looks good being pregnant and then has the baby and looks sexy. There's something so attractive about her now. It's a motherly glow."
Joel is so sweet. I wonder if he would have said the same thing about me four weeks after I gave birth to my son. Probably not, considering I think I had taken, maybe, three showers and changed out of my pajama pants once.
