Why We Love Him: Whoa!

Joey Lawrence gets his own show? It’s about time. This guy’s career has nine lives! We loved him as a tiny tot on the ‘80s hit Gimme a Break -- and again as the ditzy older brother on Blossom. We even suffered through a pop-rock disc or two just to show our support. But the 34-year-old actor’s career floundered for a while before he made a comeback with Dancing with the Stars in 2006. On the new ABC Family comedy Melissa & Joey, a Who’s the Boss? revamp, he plays nanny to a pair of kids taken in by their politican aunt Mel, played by fellow former teen star Melissa Joan Hart (with whom he costarred in last year’s TV movie, My Fake Fiance). And like Tony Danza before him, we’re sure that uber-manly manny Joe knows how to rock an apron.
