My friend and producer of the TV Cocktail video series, Rory, has been trying for weeks to get me to tune in to HBO's John From Cincinnati (starring Rebecca De Mornay and Bruce Greenwood). I keep asking him what the "dark surfer drama" is all about, and his standard response is, "I can't really explain what's going on, but I can't stop watching." Unfortunately for him (and me!) we might never know what's up with John. HBO cancelled the series after last night's fittingly mysterious finale.
On a side note, this also marks another failed show in the past year for 90210 alum Luke Perry. I interviewed him (about being naked!) right before his 2006 summer show Windfall, which was cancelled after one season as well. Hmm, maybe we'll see him on the next season of Dancing with the Stars a la Ian Ziering!
