I can't decide if I think John Mayer is just some sort of scamming womanizer, or if I'm totally in love with him myself. Maybe a little bit of both.
But, maybe she was just on hand to supply JM and his bandmates some libations, as the singer openly admitted to the Florida crowd that they had indulged in some cocktails before the show.
"We're all drunk," John said. "Only onstage can you openly drink on your last night. I'd like to see George Bush light up a giant joint.
John went on to reflect to the crowd about the price of fame. "People say I'm the hottest thing, part of a corporate machine," he said. "Well, I've been out here for 10 years. I don't want to have the number-one song. I want to be number eight. It's a much better place to be. Because as soon as you become fashion, as soon as you become the flavor of the day, you get crushed.
"Here's my advice for you," he added. "Never fully arrive. Be a work in progress."
See, that last part -- that's the part that I kind of love. But the fact that he partied with the blonde floozy, in a secluded area of some South Beach club after the show? That part -- not so much.
