It was an emotional ride during the finale of The Biggest Loser, as the remaining contestants looked back at their weight-loss journeys on the NBC reality competition. In the end, it came down to three men: Antone Davis, Ramon Medeiros and John Rhode, all of whom looked looked amazing with their newly toned bodies.
Before the Biggest Loser was named, contestant Jennifer Rumple -- who lost 43.9 percent of her original size -- won the at-home challenge, narrowly beating hunky Vinny Hickerson and winning $100,000 and earning a bouquet of flowers from her trainer (and crush) Bob Harper.
But the night's ultimate winner was Rhode, 41, who began the show weighing 445 pounds and ended at 220 pounds. To beat Davis, the first runner-up, he needed to lose 201 pounds, and his final weight loss was 225 pounds.
"I still don't know how I did it, but I'm grateful," the season 12 winner told People right after the finale. "Anything is possible. I've been given a new life. Now I just want to keep working hard, stay focused and help people."
Asked what he plans to do now that he's a Biggest Loser, Rhode replied: "[I'm] giving my wife a big hug and a kiss and holding on tight to my boys."
Rhode's win wasn't a surprise to Harper, who knew the father of two had what it takes from day one.
"I knew John was going to win the very first day he came on the Ranch," Harper said after the show.
