John Stamos Victim in Foiled Extortion Plot

John Stamos is the latest celebrity to be targeted in an extortion plot.

The FBI has arrested two people from Michigan for trying to extort $700,000 from the ER star. According to TheSmokingGun.com, Allison Coss, 23, and Scott Sippola, 30, threatened to go public with photographs they claimed would be extremely damaging to the actor's reputation and career, unless John paid them the cash. In the official documents, John is referred to only as "Mr. X, an actor," but The Smoking Gun reports that the photos in question were taken during a 2004 party that Stamos, Coss and Sippola all attended.

John contacted the FBI, who used an undercover agent to make a money drop at a Michigan airport, where the pair of alleged extortionists was arrested.

The two suspects are now out on bail but under orders to stay away from John.
