Kelly Preston and John Travolta couldn't be happier about their recently announced pregnancy, and in a new statement to People magazine, Travola, 56, and Preston, 47, admit that they've been trying to have another baby for a long time.
"We tried for several years, and we didn't think it was going to happen for us, " the couple says. "This is a miracle, and we feel blessed." Travolta and Preston's daughter, 10-year-old Ella Bleu, is said to also be excited about her new sibling. (Reports that the couple were expecting twins were shot down recently by a family spokesperson.)
Travolta's oldest son, Jett, died tragically last January of a seizure at age 16 in the family's Caribbean home. But those close to the family say the couple would never try to "replace" their lost child, and that the family "always wanted to have more kids."
