Johnny Depp's Ex Vanessa Paradis: It's Possible to Be in Love but Unhappy

Vanessa Paradis has yet again made another cryptic comment about love that could obviously be meant to explain her split from ex and father of her children, Johnny Depp.

Paradis, who was with Depp for nearly 15 years, revealed that it's possible to be both in love with someone and deeply unhappy.

"Love is the strongest and most fragile thing we have in life," the French singer-actress, 39, tells the Sept. issue of Harper's Bazaar. "Nothing is ever for sure, but when something in love doesn't work from the beginning, it's never going to work. Don't push it."

The mother of two children with Depp -- Lily-Rose, 13, and Jack, 10 -- adds that relationships continuously evolve, even those that began in a spark of love at first sight.

"When you meet the love of your life, it's just obvious and natural and easier," she says. But "you keep learning all the time. Sometimes you could be in an unhappy relationship; you are very much in love with someone, but it's making you unhappy and you think things can change and you can work it out."

Paradis and Depp officially called it quits earlier this summer, and it's speculated that Depp has been living like a single man for a while. Although Paradis doesn't discuss jumping back into romance, she does reveal what she's attracted to in a man.

"Well, my type is obviously creative," she says. "Creative, with burning eyes and a pretty mouth."
