Joining iVillage is free and allows you to customize the site, sign up for newsletters, community challenges and tools and allows you to participate in our message boards and other member areas. To become an iVillage member, click on the "Join Now" link at the top of any iVillage page.
To join iVillage, you must be at least 13 years old and agree to abide by iVillage's Terms of Service.
Just enter your member name (or email address) and password to log in and participate on iVillage. Forgot your password? Visit http://www.ivillage.com/user/forgot-password to enter your email address or member name and we'll send you a link to reset your password. Still having problems? Contact us for help!
You can also use your Facebook account to log in to iVillage. Note that this will create a new account on iVillage with a member name of your first name, last initial and a random number. You cannot link an existing iVillage account with your Facebook account at this time. If you do not wish your name to be a part of your iVillage member name, you may select your own member name by creating a new account on iVillage instead of opting to log in with your Facebook account.
Update or Change Your Account Information
To update your email address, password or newsletter preferences, visit your iVillage Member Profile page to manage your account and take advantage of other members-only features.
iVillage Member Profiles
Your iVillage member profile lets you control your account information, newsletter subscriptions and other fun stuff - all in one spot. To access your profile, simply log in and click on your user name at the top of the page or visit http://www.ivillage.com/profile/private.
Your "My Profile" tab shows you the private view of your profile - the stuff only you can see. On this page you can see your saved items, latest iVillage articles, and information. You can also select a theme, add a photo and join a community challenge all from your profile page! To see what others see when they visit your profile, simply click the "Public View" button in the upper right corner of your profile.
The "Photos" tab is your own personal gallery where you can upload your favorite photos and share them with the iVillage community. Upload your latest snapshots, add titles, captions and even crop your photos for the perfect picture. You can set your photos to be public, or private, so only you can see them. Don't like a photo you've added? Simply delete it from your gallery by checking the box next to your photo and click the red "delete" button.
Your avatar is an image that's displayed on your profile and on the iVillage network when you log in, chime in on an article or participate in a personalized feature. You can choose your avatar by visiting the "Account Info" area, then click "Edit". You can choose from one of our designs, or upload a photo of your own. Don't worry, you'll be able to crop your photo after you upload.
You can also update your email address or password on the "Account Info" page. Simply click "Edit" to update these details. Having trouble updating your email address or password? Contact us for help.
In the "Personal Info" area you'll be able to tell us a bit more about yourself. The top section of the page is kept private and is used to help us better understand our audience. The bottom section of the page - "About Me" - is the information that can be displayed on your profile to let others know a bit more about you. You can share as little or as much as you'd like. Don't forget to click "Save Changes" after updating each section.
Want to jazz up your profile? Add a color theme or a frame for your avatar. You can choose your favorite style on the "Customize" tab. In the "Tools" area, you can also add your favorite iVillage tools to your profile for easy access. Check the boxes next to the tools you'd like to add and click "Save Changes" to save your preferences.
Love getting our newsletters but want an easy way to manage them? You can control which newsletters you receive and those you don't want right on the "Newsletters" tab of your iVillage member profile. Click the "Subscribe" button next to each newsletter to sign up. Newsletters will be sent to the email address associated with your iVillage member account. Don't want to receive a newsletter?
