Fear not, Jon Gosselin fans (all two of you): chances are good you won't have to go without seeing him on reality TV. The word on the Internets is that he's in talks to be on not one, but two very popular shows. Both of them have long histories in the category of reality competition, and one has won 11 Emmys.
That's right: rumor has it we may soon be seeing Jon braving the wilds of Survivor and/or The Amazing Race.
According to RadarOnline.com, Jon is going to "take a meeting" with CBS, the network behind the two hit series. The question the meetings will seek to answer: will Jon appear on the celebrity editions of either show. (It's not clear who might have set up the meeting, or who may have floated the idea in the first place.)
Meanwhile, Jon's rep is denying the reports of his possible involvement with the CBS shows.
“Jon is focused on his family, divorce and [his] lawsuit," the rep told AccessHollywood.com. He is preparing for a public service announcement but not any reality TV whatsoever.” Well, we’d still like to say,
It's not the first time the threat of Jon's other reality-TV exploits has made the news: rumors recently surfaced that he was in talks with Michael Lohan for a show called The Divorced Dads Club. The idea stoked the ire of TLC, with which he has apparently signed an exclusivity agreement.
"Jon is planning to fly to Los Angeles in late November for a meeting about appearing on one of the shows," a source told RadarOnline. "Nothing is a done deal yet. This is in the very early stages."
Gosselin has been shopping around for a new gig ever since he shut down production of Jon and Kate Plus 8 earlier this month, which resulted in his role on the show effectively being shut down, too.
