Kate isn't the only Gosselin flaunting her beach body these days -- her ex Jon Gosselin is showing off his suddenly svelte figure for the cameras. Jon, 33, gained some noticeable weight during his days of new-bachelor debauchery, following his 2009 divorce from Kate Gosselin. But in a new shirtless photo on the beach, Jon's prominent beer belly has been replaced by, well, not a six-pack, but a noticeably flatter tummy.
"Jon's made time for himself," a friend tells In Touch. "Jon's own dad never took care of himself and died at an early age, so Jon is doing whatever he can to ensure he'll be around for his kids as long as possible."
Oh, so it's all about the kids! But seriously, when last we wrote about the father of eight, he was getting a giant dragon inked on his back to symbolize his "rebirth." Like that tattoo, weight loss seems to be a way of sending up flares to the press, signaling, I've changed! And maybe this will eventually land him a reality series, which seems to be the only job he's pursuing (let's hope his new agent works fast, because there's only so much more he can do to his appearance to symbolize deep transformation!).
Then again, maybe the reality TV dad simply sees himself in competition for publicity with his ex-wife, who has no problems making headlines -- or snagging reality shows. Your move, Kate! Where will you be getting your tattoo?
