If you're going deaf from the sound of wailing tweens, it's probably because the Internet has been aflame with a rumor that the Jonas Brothers are headed for musical splitsville.

Where did the gossip mill start turning? Well, Parade leaked a few quotes from this weekend's edition, which will include a story about the Disney-pop trio. In the profile, Denise Jonas, (a.k.a. Mama Jonas) spilled the beans that Nick Jonas will be going it alone.

"Nick is working on a solo act—it's called Nick Jonas and The Administration," Denise told Parade. "Shhh! He's at the photo shoot for the album cover right now."

The quote triggered a ripple-effect of Internet headlines saying Nick's solo project spells the end of the Jonas Brothers. But don't start crying yet. The band took to their MySpace blog to quell the freakout.

The blog addressed the rumors in a point-by-point post: "#1 – The Jonas Brothers are NOT breaking up! #2 – Nick Jonas IS working on a side project called Nick Jonas & The Administration #3 – This project will be released early in 2010 #4 - We are ALL excited about this project AND what we are doing TOGETHER! #5 – We plan to make music together for as long as we can."

In a separate note on the site, Joe and Kevin Jonas said: "A three chord strand is not easily broken. And one thing's for sure…this three chord strand is stronger now than it's ever been."

Furthermore, a Jonas Brothers "source" told E! News that Nick's solo work "would only expand the Jonas brand," adding that, "The music is amazing and really shows off Nick's vocal range."
