While Glee fans are still giddy over the news of a super-sized Lady Gaga episode that's headed their way, inside sources have leaked some more news that should make them even more, well, gleeful. Jonathan Groff, who played Jesse St. James, the on-screen boyfriend to Lea Michele's Rachel in season 1, is returning for the final three episodes of season 2!
According to TVLine.com, Vocal Adrenaline's go-to guy -- who broke Rachel's heart at the end of season 1 when it was revealed that he might have been dating her just to sabotage the New Directions -- will be back attempting to make amends with his former flame.
"He's back to apologize to Rachel," confides a source close to the show, "and perhaps get her back."
Meanwhile, Groff and Michele's real-life relationship is just fine. The best buds, who starred together in Broadway's Spring Awakening, have been seen recently out and about in Los Angeles.
Will Jesse be able to win Rachel back? And does that mean that the Finn-Quinn-Rachel love triangle will now be a love square? Stay tuned!
