Jonathan Rhys Meyers continues to battle his alcohol addiction, and now the star of Showtime's The Tudors is headed back into rehab, People.com confirms.

"He just really wants to get better," a friend of the Irish actor said. "This has been an ongoing battle for him."

This will reportedly be Meyers' second rehab attempt; he entered treatment in April 2007. Since then, Meyers has had multiple alcohol-related run-ins with the law: in November 2007, he was arrested in his hometown at the Dublin airport  for public intoxication, and in June 2009, he was detained by French police at Paris' Charles De Gaulle airport after allegedly getting drunk and assaulting a bar employee.
