Jordin Sparks is a good girl with good morals -- and nobody, not even the incoherent host of 2008 MTV VMAs, is going to make that look uncool.
While Russell Brand (note to MTV: please don't EVER hire him again -- for anything) continued to make terribly unfunny jokes about The Jonas Brothers and their purity rings all night, another ring-wearer, Jordan, took it upon herself to stand up for all the virgins in the house.
"I just have one thing to say about promise rings. It's not bad to wear a promise ring," Jordin told the crowd, before introducing T.I's performance, "because not everybody - guy or girl - wants to be a slut."
Hands in the air for the teen who doesn't care what people think! Jordin should be super proud of herself, as I'm sure her parents are. And for my friend Donna, who couldn't believe that the American Idol winner was as pure as she said, no Don, still, nobody has "tapped that Sparky ass."
Meanwhile, Russell, who I'm sure was forced to try and redeem himself, came back and said of purity rings, "I didn't meant to take it lightly. I don't want to piss off teenage fans. Promise rings, I'm well up for it. [But] a bit of sex, it never hurt anybody."
