Josh Krajcik
ELIMINATED (2nd Place)

Hometown: Columbus, OH

Mentored By: Nicole Scherzinger

About Him: Josh Krajcik may be a schlubby, unkempt "burrito slinger" (his self-professed job title), but both L.A. Reid and Paula Abdul declared this 30-year-old their favorite voice in the competition. Whether he was surprising Simon Cowell with his soulful rendition of Etta James' "At Last," or blowing the audience away with Bob Dylan's "Forever Young," Krajcik's performances just got better and better.

Why He Got Cut: His earthy voice got him to the finals, and wowed the crowd (yet again) with another winning performance of "At Last." But in the end, Josh lost out to his female competitor. "Melanie deserves it," he said during the finale show. "She has a wonderful voice. I've had such an incredible experience here ... I couldn't be happier."
