For the first time in season 13 of Dancing with the Stars there was a perfect-scoring dance. But there wasn't just one flawless routine -- there were two from the same couple!
J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff managed to outshine the competition with their waltz and again with their "insta-dance" jive, earning three 10s from the judges for each performance.
After the soap star and his partner waltzed to the Burt Bacharach classic "What the World Needs Now Is Love," the judges were overwhelmed, and the audience gave the couple a standing ovation.
"It was like a musical Valentine. You danced with your heart on your sleeve -- totally involved, totally dedicated. You really made beautiful music with Karina," said judge Bruno Tonioli. "It was divine!"
The usually curmudgeonly Len Goodman added: "Each week is a battle. Last week you retreated a little bit, but just like the soldier you are, you came back all guns blazing!"
After the dreaded "insta-dance," in which the dancers are given only 20 minutes to practice the jive to a new piece of music before performing live, Martinez and Smirnoff again wowed the judges with a dance to "Tutti Frutti."
"You're in a class all in your own. There's nobody coming close to you guys tonight. It's ridiculous!" Carrie Ann Inaba gushed.

Other highlights include:
Hope Solo enjoyed her best week of the season. First she and partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy nailed their quickstep to the late Amy Winehouse's "Valerie," earning them a 27 -- their highest score so far. After an incredibly athletic instant jive, the judges gave them a 25, making them tie for overall runners-up of the night.
Ricki Lake and Derek Hough started off with a 28 for their first-round waltz to "Natural Woman." But despite being called "exquisite" by Inaba, the front-runners faltered in their instant jive, earning only a 24 and lowering their total score to a 52, just like Solo and Chmerkovskiy.
Rob Kardashian continued to impress the judges with his dedication and his ability to recover from uneasy early steps to his first-round quickstep with partner Cheryl Burke earned him a 27. Later, their jive scored 24 points.
Nancy Grace and Tristan MacManus finished in last place again with a tango that earned her encouraging praise and a 24. But after their jive, which ended in a surprising cartwheel by Grace, she still received only 20 points for "getting lost in the choreography," as Inaba explained.
Goodman even compared her to Cinderella and said, "You've come to the ball and lasted eight weeks, which I commend you for, however, for me it's midnight, and it's time to go home," referring to her chances of surviving the results show.
