The 54-year-old actor (The Expendables, The Dark Knight, and most recently, a stint on The Young and the Restless) -- and father of rising star Emma Roberts -- has officially joined the upcoming season of VH1's Celebrity Rehab, according to a new report from RadarOnline.com.
Roberts has dealt with his fair share of substance abuse issues in the past. The actor has admitted he began smoking weed by the age off 11 and, in 1987, was arrested for harassing a woman and for striking a police officer while on drugs.
He has reportedly moved into the Pasadena Recovery Center and is rooming with none other than Party of Five actor Jeremy London, who recently went through a very public fallout with his family in light of his outrageous kidnapping/drug story.
London, 37, told Radar, "Eric Roberts is my roommate and is simply amazing. He’s an incredible person.” The guys are joined by former teen idol Leif Garrett, model Janice Dickinson, reality star Jason Wahler (The Hills), and (in)famous mistress of Tiger Woods, Rachel Uchitel.
London went on to tell Radar that the cast is "unbelievably cool,” and are all “getting along beautifully.” The reality series, which is led by substance-abuse expert Dr. Drew Pinsky (who London says "rocks"), will begin airing its fourth season this October.
