'Mystic Pizza' (1988)

Julia Roberts, best known best at the time as actor Eric Roberts' little sister, played the girl from the wrong side of the tracks who worked at a coastal Connecticut pizzeria and dated the son of a wealthy local in Mystic Pizza. Even in the 1988 movie, it was clear Roberts was about to make her mark in Hollywood. A New York Times film review called her "voluptuous," "lively," "beautiful" and "scene-stealing." The film also includes stellar performances from Lili Taylor and Annabeth Gish (pictured left and right) and features the big-screen debut of another future Oscar winner (and Roberts' costar in the Ocean's movies), Matt Damon -- whose only line is when he asks, while eating lobster, "Mom, do you want my green stuff?"
