Julianne Hough is used to dancing with stars, but dating them has proved even more challenging. One of the most intricate dances to choreograph is simply scheduling time with boyfriend Ryan Seacrest.
"It's a hard thing to do, especially when you're so caught up in your work and bettering yourself," Hough, 23, tells Parade.com. "I think at the end of the day you have to find a balance with what's really important."
It's no surprise that Hough, a dancer-singer-actress, and Seacrest, 37, who's often dubbed the hardest-working man in Hollywood, find it tough to coordinate their busy schedules. But Hough says despite their packed agendas, the two of them make time for each other -- even for mini vacations together.
"I'm so lucky that I have a great relationship," she says. "I'm very blessed and I don't take anything for granted. I think if you alienate people and just focus on your work then it just becomes lonely and it's not fun anymore."
And when they inevitably find themselves apart, Hough -- who next stars in the adaptation of jukebox musical Rock of Ages -- always knows she can see him twice a week on American Idol. When asked if she watches the reality competition, Hough replied:
"Heck yes," she said emphatically. "It is so good. I love this season!"
