Modern Family's Julie Bowen accomplished the impressive feat of breastfeeding twins -- and she wants the whole world to know about it! Bowen, 40, celebrated the first birthday of sons John and Gus on May 8. During her Monday night appearance on Lopez Tonight, Bowen said that her time-management skills include simultaneously breastfeeding both babies -- and to demonstrate, she revealed an up-and-close and personal photo of "the double football hold." The picture, taken over Bowen's shoulder, shows two bald-headed babies (definitely much younger than one year) simultaneously nursing while their mama holds them steady with a hand on each head. It's a very private moment -- and a very, very sweet one. Watch the video, below.
Of course, anytime a breastfeeding mom dares to go public, somebody seems to take offense. Bowen was allegedly told that she couldn't show the photo during her recent appearance on The View. And Hollywood Life.com, which ran the photo, received a barrage of emails requesting that the "shocking" image be taken down. Even host George Lopez made a tacky joke of the photo, doctoring it so that the babies were sucking on the heads of the Kardashian sisters. It's really too bad that people are so squeamish about the perfectly normal, very healthy practice of breastfeeding. But props to Julie Bowen for flaunting her skills -- and the body she got back, thanks to her "two little liposuction machines"!
