Your primary care physician may be the one you turn to when your symptoms begin, but you’ll need to see a gastroenterologist to help you develop a plan for managing your condition. “Crohn’s is an unpredictable disease, and it can take a lot of trial-and-error to find the right mix of medications for each person who develops it,” says Ayesha Williams, senior information specialist for the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA).
