Justin Bieber is officially a man! The beloved Canadian pop star turned 18 on March 1, and he got a big reason to celebrate when he visited Thurday's The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
His manager/pal Scooter Braun (with a little help from the always game Ellen DeGeneres) gave the newly minted 18-year-old the gift of his dreams on national television: a Fisker Karma, an ultra-rare and hard-to-come-by electric sports sedan that is all the rage in Hollywood right now. See Biebs get his present in the video below!
"You work really really hard," Braun told him. "I always yell at you, 'Don't get anything flashy!' You know, we're not about that. Be humble, be humble. And I kind of broke my own rule."
Braun detailed all the wonderful things Bieber has done over the years, including meeting a Make A Wish Foundation child at every one of his tour stops -- in private, so it wouldn't be about the press. "You do it for the right reasons," Braun gushed.
"We wanted to make sure, since you love cars, that when you're on the road you are always looking environmentally friendly. And we decided to get you a car that would make you stand out a little bit on the road," Braun, who gave the gift along with Usher, explained. "I think you know where I'm going, and you're kind of freaking out a little right now. So Justin, a very hard-to-get car, that's a Fisker Karma."
Needless to say, Bieber's eyes bugged out of his head a bit when he heard the news.
"What? That's for me! That's mine? That's amazing!" is all Justin could get out in response to the gift. Of course, DeGeneres added the necessary accessories for the car, including a Bieber and DeGeneres sun screen and a bobble-head modeled after the talk show host. As the saying goes, it was just the icing on the cake.
