Justin Bieber's 18th Birthday Bash: All the Details

The pop star's March 1 b-day was feted with a surprise party thrown by his friends, family and (of course) girlfriend Selena Gomez

The theme of Justin Bieber's 18th birthday was definitely "surprise!" After being shocked by his dream gift, a super cool Fisker Karma electric car, on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the pop star was thrown a surprise birthday bash by his closest friends and family. And the happiest surprise of all? Bieber's girlfriend, Selena Gomez, 19, flew in from the set of Spring Breakers in Florida to celebrate Justin's birthday.

"He was all over Selena the whole time, walking her around by the hand. He kept kissing her," an insider told Us Weekly. "It's clear she was the best part of the night for him. He is still so in love with her."

Looking suave in a black-and-white houndstooth jacket, Bieber partied with dressed-up guests Kim Kardashian, Kylie and Kendall Jenner, Mike Tyson, Ashley Tisdale and Cody Simpson, as well as hometown friends and family (including his grandparents, flown in from Canada).

"Everyone danced all night," a partygoer told Us.

In addition to his 18th birthday on March 1, Bieber had yet another milestone to celebrate this weekend: breaking the Guinness World Record for the most Twitter messages sent within a 24-hour period. Enough fans tweeted the message ("Setting a world record for @justinbieber!") to reportedly break the mark, although Guinness is set to officially weigh in on March 9.

"18 and 18 MILLION STRONG! WE ARE FAMILY! #ILOVEMYFANS #ILOVEMYBELIEBERS" an ecstatic Bieber tweeted on Sunday to his 18 million-plus followers.

In a Q&A with fans for MTV, Bieber talked about how his life might change now that he's a legal adult.

"Well, 18 requires a lot of responsibilities; moving out requires me to be alone, without my parents. So, legally, I can make any decision I want," said Bieber. "My mom's still going to be there, probably, calling me every day. Probably won't be able to get away from her for too long. Eighteen's going to be fun. I look forward to a lot of touring and a lot of spending time with my fans, so 18 is going to be a great year."

Seems like it's off to a good start!
