Has the epidemic of Bieber Fever gone to Justin Bieber's head? In the new issue of Vanity Fair, the 16-year-old singer reveals that he gets what all the hype is about -- he knows he's cute!
"Not trying to be arrogant, but if I walked down the street and a girl saw me, she might take a look back because maybe I'm good-looking, right?" the teen idol says.
Bieber, who was recently spotted smooching Selena Gomez, says that he knows that most of his fans are of the young, female persuasion, but he's predicting that his appeal will soon become more widespread.
"For younger guys, it's like (they think) they're not cool if they come to my concert," he says. "That'll (change), I think; it'll happen, maybe when I'm 18. But meanwhile all their girlfriends are coming to watch me."
As for possibly taking a wrong turn like so many other of his teen counterparts, Bieber says he's much too focused to let anything lead him off course.
"I think that people are just waiting for that time when I make a mistake and they're gonna jump on it...There's gonna be haters," he says. "I know I'm not going to make a life-changing bad decision, as some people have. I've seen it happen too many times. I could be my own worst enemy, but I don't want to mess this up."
