Justin Bieber & Selena Gomez's Break-Up: What Happened?

Distance, jealousy and another girl?! Sources are reporting that the teenage dream team have split about a week ago

They were considered the teen Brangelina, but Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez just couldn't go the distance. After two years of dating, the "Beauty and a Beat" singer, 18, and the Wizards of Waverly Place star, 20, have reportedly called it quits. So what happened?

E! News, which broke the news on Friday evening, reports that Justin and Selena split about a week ago, due to the pressures of a long-distance romance. (Bieber is currently on tour.) "Because of their crazy schedules, it was getting harder and harder to maintain a relationship," a source told the website. People reported that Gomez initiated the split, with a source saying that the starlet had "trust issues." RadarOnline's source agrees, saying that "jealousy" and "petty arguments" have been poisoning the relationship.

However, it also appears that Bieber had been spending quite a lot of time lately with a 19-year-old Victoria's Secret model named Barbara Palvin. Palvin accompanied Bieber to a performance of The Lion King on Thursday, and later appeared mysteriously in the background of a photo Bieber took with rapper Lil Twist. (Gomez re-tweeted that picture with the caption "...." -- which was really all she needed to say.)

At the moment, Bieber just seems to be confused. "I don't know what to say," he said in a radio interview on Saturday. "I don't know what's going on in my life. To even assess that it doesn't make sense 'cause I have not made any comment." On Sunday, the pop star thanked his fans for their support on Twitter, saying, "regardless of what happens i see all of the tweets and all the love you guys are sending me. thank u. love u too." Bieber did allow himself one emotional moment: a heartfelt performance of Justin Timberlake's break-up ballad "Cry Me a River" during Saturday's Boston concert.

One important thing to note: neither Gomez nor Bieber has issued an official confirmation of the break-up. Some media outlets (including TMZ and the Daily Mail) have reported that the couple is still trying to work things out, and will likely get back together. If they do, the timing would be good: Bieber's interview for Oprah's Next Chapter, in which he gushed about his love for Selena, is scheduled to air on Nov. 25.

Take a look at a tease for the interview, which was released to Good Morning America:
