Justin Bieber: "I Want To Be a Young Dad"

The 17-year-old singer says he wants to be married and "looking for a family" by the time he's in his mid-20s

Justin Bieber is still in his teen idol years -- yet he's already thinking ahead to becoming a father! In a new interview with Women's Wear Daily, the 17-year-old singer says that he plans to settle down by the time he hits his mid-20s.

"By 25 or 26, I want to see myself, like, married or start looking for a family," says Bieber, when asked about his future goals. "I want to be a young dad."

That's not to say that he plans to leave the limelight. He just expects his life to keep moving at an accelerated speed -- and given what these last few years have been like, who can blame him?

"I want to be able to have done what I wanted to do (before I start a family) -- to be successful, to do a movie or whatever," Bieber clarifies. "But if the time is right, I definitely want to be married by 25."

To Selena Gomez, perhaps? He's not even going to go there. Although he calls her "my girlfriend" and gushes that "she's amazing," he's quick to say that he's not looking to get married now.

Bieber may be just 17, but he's far from the only young celebrity thinking about kids. Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, 23, likes to talk about how much she wants kids ("guido babies," specifically). Lady Gaga, 25, is the biggest pop star alive, but told Elle last year that she wants babies in the next decade "for my Dad to hold."

There was a time when it was shocking for young, hot stars to have kids. (Remember Britney Spears' first pregnancy?) But now it seems like a natural part of celebrity evolution. Is it because stars like Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt make parenting in the public eye seem deceptively breezy and glamorous? Or is it just that having kids and being famous aren't mutually exclusive anymore? Either way, it's kind of sweet to hear that a young guy like Bieber is daydreaming about fatherhood. We wonder if he'll still feel the same way when he reaches the ripe old age of 25!
