Here's the weirdest story you've heard all day: Justin Bieber was the target of an imprisoned man's plot to murder and then castrate the Canadian pop star and his bodyguard. The plan was reportedly so serious that two other criminals were sent out on a mission to kill Bieber, though they fortunately were caught before anything could happen to the 18-year-old.
New Mexico's KRQU News 12 has the news and reports that investigators caught the two fugitives out for Bieber last month. Mark Staake, 41, and his nephew Tanner Ruane, 23, were wanted in Albuquerque for conspiracy to commit murder in the first degree and conspiracy to commit aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. They were captured in Vermont and New York, respectively, and it has now been revealed that they were part of a different man's plan to kill Bieber.
Dana Martin, who is currently serving two life sentences after he raped and killed a 15-year-old girl, met Staake in prison and convinced him to carry out a plan that would lead to the murder of Bieber. Staake then got Ruane on board with the plot as well. Among other things, the plan was to strangle Bieber and his bodyguard with a paisley tie and then castrate the two men. It ended up being Martin who told authorities about his plan.
"We take every precaution to protect and insure the safety of Justin and his fans," Bieber's manager Scooter Braun tells Us Weekly. Love or hate the "Beauty and the Beat" singer, we can all argue that we're glad this horrible plot was thwarted.
